Why the Filmpower Nebula 4100 Lite, 3-Axis, Brushless, Gimbal Stabilizer?
Ever since the single handle 3-axis gimbal stabilizer was introduced a few years ago, many products have come out and are attempting to compete for buyers in the marketplace. This can create confusion for potential users because of how similar the gimbal stabilizers seem to be. One example is that most of them are at mirrorless level, which means they weigh about 1kg, with a payload maximum to 1.2kg, that camera operators can use with one hand; they all have a tool-less adjustment system to simplify set up and balancing; they all have a joystick for free control…However, like anything in the production industry, each product has its own niche and that’s where camera operators should be concerned. Filmpower Inc. was the first, and started the craze for single handed brushless gimbals, with the Nebula 4000. We keep leading the market with our Nebula series, most recently with the release of the Nebula 4100.
Comparisons
1. The Structure
The arm, of the Nebula 4100 gimbal, is thicker than other similar products and more rigid for more stability. The gimbal is made by mould-casting and CNC integrated milling instead of screws riveting, which is used on other, similar, products. The Logo embossed on the arm clearly shows a metal feel, while the handle, on the contrary, is made for lightness and a portable grip. The whole gimbal neatly blends classic styling in a smooth, streamlined, fashion.
2. The Portability
The storage case of the Nebula 4100 is also integrated. Compared to similar products, there is no need for the Nebula 4100 to be assembled. It is ready to use once you open the storage case.
Besides the small shape, we chose a smart battery for the Nebula 4100 to make the handle grip more comfortable for users to hold. Other stabilizer producers usually choose either the 18650 and 26650 battery which causes the handle to be too long.
3. The Infrared function for recording with the remote control
Besides the joystick for Pitch/Yaw axis control, the Nebula 4100 retains this original feature: the infrared function to remote control Canon, Sony and other cameras with built-in infrared for start/stop recording.
4. Powerful function extend ability
Many of the producers consider about adding support accessories to expand the function of the product, such as long lens plates, for support, and vehicle mounts. The original smart cage and tactical cage of Nebula 4100 is specifically designed for filming, convenient for users to quickly switch cameras between gimbal and tripod use. Additionally, a tactical cage has been designed as an optional accessory for cameras with a flip screen. When you buy the 5-axis connection plate, as the name suggests, the 5-axis spring handle can be attached directly to the Gimbal. It also supports adding the Nebula Remote and the Nebula Jib.

Conclusion:
How do I choose the right one for me?
The price of the Nebula 4100 is $599.00. Obviously, with the reasonable price, Nebula 4100 highlights the cost performance of single handle 3-axis stabilizers in the market where similar gimbal products are priced from $500 to $1200. If you need amazing, steady results and you are expecting to have the need for frequent switching between gimbal and tripod use while filming, The Nebula Series of Gimbals is the perfect choice.
